Sunday 19th Sept. 2021 – Mallaig to Sandaig Bay

Six of us put in to Mallaig Harbour from the parking on East Bay. We had good weather with leass rain than forecast but more wind.

The paddle across to Sandaig Bay was easy with the following wind but we all had bother with waves trying to knock us off the straight line.

Once in the Bay we found several sheltered beaches and saw quite a few wild goats. After a lunch stop we paddled round the corner towards Inverie but stopped short and left the kayaks to go up to the madonna on Rubha Raonuill. Then we had a hard paddle against the wind back along the south shore of Loch Nevis.
