Morar Estuary – 14th Nov. 2021

Morar Estuary

We’ve just had a successful outing, thanks to those who came, on the Morar Estuary. In spite of the rather threatening forecast seven (Steven, Ron, Tony, Liz, Pete, Brian, Paul) of us took to the water and paddled out of the estuary and round the corner to the beach between Camusdarroch and Traigh. At one point we thought of heading to Eilean da Chuain but the wind was just a bit too much. So, it was back to the estuary for lunch and then a play round in the outflow of the river Morar. There was only one capsize by Pete – shows he was trying – and a successful deep water rescue courtesy of Brian. We packed up just before the rain started.
